Five weeks into the filming of MGM's Gone with the Wind, producer David O. Selznick fired the clueless original director and brought in 'script doctor' Ben Hecht to fix the awful screenplay. But Hecht had never read the novel! Ron Hutchinson's farce, based on historical events, follows the frantic five-day session in which Selznick, Hecht, director Victor Fleming, and assistant Miss Poppenghul hammered out a legendary new script.

Starring Ed Conrad as David O. Selznick, Robert McCoy as Victor Fleming, Tim Champion as Ben Hecht, and Kristen Jezek as Miss Poppenghul. Directed by Stephen Kay.
