The Brecksville Theatre announces auditions for the beloved musical "A Christmas Carol"

Please prepare the following:

32 bars of a song showing your range, bring sheet music (accompanist will be provided).

Bring a headshot (optional, we will also be taking photos) and theatre resume/CV

Please bring a list of conflict dates you may have between July 1st and December 3rd.

Please arrive ten minutes early to fill out the audition form.

Casting Requirements:

Looking for a diverse cast; all races, genders, and ethnicities will be considered for most parts.

Note for Families with young children: We will audition/cast parents WITH children for supporting roles & chorus, no prep needed. Please sign up for one slot.

Rehearsals:

Regular rehearsals will begin on select days in mid-July and will be based on actor availability.

Show Synopsis: Ebenezer Scrooge, a wealthy yet cold-hearted miser, cares little for anything beyond his own fortune, dismissing Christmas and all its goodwill with a bitter “Bah! Humbug!” In this dazzling Broadway adaptation, his rigid world is shaken on Christmas Eve when he is visited by three ghostly spirits. Each one leads him on a powerful journey through his past, present, and future, revealing the consequences of his selfishness and the loneliness it has created. Through these haunting visions, Scrooge is forced to confront the life he has lived and the man he has become. With their guidance, his hardened heart begins to soften, and he realizes the true value of kindness, compassion, and human connection. Awakening on Christmas morning with a renewed spirit, Scrooge joyfully embraces the holiday, determined to make amends and share love and generosity with those around him.
