Louisa May Alcott’s classic story is brought to life on stage in this rendition of ‘Little Women’. Centered on the March sisters during the height of the American Civil War, the story focuses on the lives of Meg, Jo, Beth, Amy, and their Marmee while the girls’ father is off at war. Jo is trying to sell her stories for publication, but the publishers are not interested – her friend, Professor Bhaer, tells her that she must do better and write more from herself. Begrudgingly taking this advice, Jo weaves the story of herself and her sisters and their experiences growing through heartbreak, joy, and challenges life throws at them. At the end of the day, hope is what binds this family and brings them together through all their trials – filled with hearty and joyous melodies and a soul-touching message, ‘Little Women’ reminds all of us that “sometimes when you dream, your dreams come true.”
