Join Broadway performer & YouTube sensation, Natalie Weiss, in concert with Cleveland Musical Theatre at the Music Box Supper Club! The Broadway performer and traveling teacher, best-known for her hit Youtube series, “Breaking Down the Riffs,” will be singing her unique brand of modern pop and musical theatre classics. 

Natalie’s concert will be accompanied by musical director Rob Kovacs and feature CMT alums Dani Apple, Christina Ciofani, and Grace Hunt, along with all 30 students from CMT's 'Pop/Rock Musical Theatre' intensive.

STARRING NATALIE WEISS

Natalie recently returned from her 1st Australian and 2nd European concert/teaching tours! Last year, she took part in the reading of the upcoming Hugh Jackman movie musical, The Greatest Showman, based on the life of P.T. Barnum, with original music by Pasek and Paul. Last summer, she played Candy in the U.S. premiere of the new version of Saturday Night Fever at the Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival. In August 2013, she completed a 2 1/2 year run swinging the national tour of Les Miserables. Back In 2010, she made her Broadway debut understudying the Menonettes in Everyday Rapture, starring Sherie Rene Scott. She also performed in the ensemble and understudied Elphaba in the 2nd national tour of Wicked. Natalie was an American Idol season 4 semi-finalist, has performed the National Anthem at Cowboys & Shea Stadium, but is most well known for her Youtube videos. She has gained an international following from her performance videos & popular web series, “Breaking Down The Riffs,” which have collectively reached over 3 million views. MUSIC DIRECTED BY ROB KOVACS

Rob is a Cleveland-born pianist and composer. He is a current member of the FiveOne Experimental Orchestra and a regular performer with the Arts and Medicine Institute at the Cleveland Clinic. He is the first person to perform the solo version of Steve Reich’s Piano Phase by simultaneously playing both piano parts on two pianos. He has performed and recorded with several other Cleveland and NYC artists including Parson James, Grace Love, Sandra Bernhard, Herzog, Expecting Rain, Leonard DiCosimo and Margot B. He has written music for American Greetings’ e-cards and several award-winning short films including PheMIMEnon and Game On. Kovacs performed regularly at Cleveland’s Howl at the Moon as well as other dueling piano bars from New York City to Wisconsin. He was recognized as the 2008 Best Pianist/Keyboardist by the Cleveland Free Times (n.k.a. The Scene). Kovacs also teaches at the Aurora School of Music, Laurel School and from his home studio.
