East Indie Films is currently seeking actors/actresses for paid roles in a short film “Laura, Queen of the Young”, written by Philip Hirzel.

Genre: Dry Comedy

Plot Summary: Laura is a strange girl who easily manipulates those around her. When she arrives at her friend’s party, she declares she’ll make out with 3 boys before the end of the night, though her motives are not so easily realized.

The shoot is slated for Late Summer/Early Fall 2015 in Cleveland, Ohio.

LAURA (20s FEMALE) - Strange, brilliant, and stubborn. She gets what she wants, does what she wants, and sees most people as playthings.

SUSAN (20s FEMALE) - The host of the party. Tired, but supportive. She’s Laura’s only real friend, and navigates her minefield brain cautiously.

RUSSEL (20s MALE) - A nebbish young man who came to the party with a friend. Hangs on the wall away from the action until singled out by Laura.

CRAIG (20s MALE) - A typical dudebro. Likes beer pong and spending time with his buddies. Becomes Laura’s second target.

JAMES (20s MALE) - Laura’s ex. Handsome and thoughtful, he doesn’t expect to run into Laura so soon, but must confront her eventually.
