Looking for actors 18 years of age (must be out of high school) or older.

AUDITION LOCATION: Akron Civic Theatre’s Knight Stage - 182 S. Main St., Akron, OH 44308

AUDITION DATES: Monday, March 13, 2023 from 6PM - 8PM 

CALL BACKS: Wednesday, March 22, 2022 from 6PM – 8PM

SHOW INFORMATION:LIZZIE: The Musical delves into the mysterious mind of Lizzie Borden and speculates on the motivations she may have had: loss of inheritance, history of sexual abuse, overwhelming oppression and madness. By her side is her older sister Emma, maid Bridget, and neighbor Alice.

Performances June  16,17, 23, 24, 30, and July 1 2023

Rehearsals start week of May 7th, 2023

WHAT TO PREPARE: 5-minute increments. One cut is needed. 16-32 measures. Non-musical theatre songs, with the exception of songs from shows in the style of American Idiot, Murder Ballad, Spring Awakening, etc. We are looking for cuts of rock songs in the styles of Halestorm, Flyleaf, Paramore, Janis Joplin, Automatic Loveletter, and Stevie Nicks to name a few. PLEASE DO NOT SING FROM THE SHOW!! Your vocal range will be checked at the initial audition
