Our 600^th Mainstage production is “The Hunchback of Notre Dame”

Timeless tale of love, power and the value of human life comes to Weathervane Playhouse!

AKRON- Celebrating the 600^th Mainstage production in our 84th season of existence, Weathervane Playhouse is set to bring the gothic masterpiece The Hunchback of Notre Dame to our Founders Theater through October 28. Show times are Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. Tickets range from $10-$26 and can be purchased by calling 330-836-2626 or going to www.weathervaneplayhouse.com.

Based on the Victor Hugo novel with songs from the Disney animated feature, The Hunchback of Notre Dame showcases the film's Academy Award-nominated score, as well as new songs by Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz. Hailed as an "instant classic," audiences will be swept away by the magic of this unforgettable musical.

As the bells of Notre Dame ring from the heights of the famed cathedral in fifteenth-century Paris, Quasimodo, the deformed bell-ringer, observes the city reveling in the annual Feast of Fools. Escaping the stony prison of his caretaker, the archdeacon Dom Claude Frollo, he joins the boisterous crowd, only to be treated cruelly by all but the gypsy Esmeralda. What follows is a timeless tale of love, power, and the value of all human life.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame is presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.
