BEREA, OH – The Department of Theatre and Dance at Baldwin Wallace University presents Tom Stoppard’s Rock ‘n’ Roll directed by Adam Heffernan.

It’s 1968 and Jan is fighting communism with the help of The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, and Pink Floyd. Advocating for his artistic expression while the Soviet Union attempts to take it away, he is drawn toward a dangerous act of dissent. Over the next twenty years of love, espionage, chance and loss, the characters eventually discover what is truly worth fighting for.

Director Adam Heffernan is an associate professor and chair of the Department of Theatre & Dance. His previous work on Stoppard plays includes directing THE REAL THING and performing in THE REAL INSPECTOR HOUND and THE 15-MINUTE HAMLET. Tom Stoppard is a Czech-born British playwright. He is a Tony and Oscar award winner, whose works include SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE, BRAZIL, ARCADIA, ROSENCRANTZ & GUILDENSTERN ARE DEAD, and many others. 

Rock ‘n’ Roll will be performed in the William Allman Theatre, Kleist Center for Art and Drama, 95 E. Bagley Road in Berea, with performances on the following dates:

Wednesday, October 18-21st at 7:30pm
Sunday, October 22nd at 2:00pm

Tickets are available from the BW Box Office also located in Kleist at (440) 826-2239, or online at bw.edu/tickets. Box office hours are Monday through Friday Noon-5PM, Saturday 10AM – Noon. BW students are entitled to one free ticket, BW faculty are entitled to two free tickets.
