                                                                   The Next Generation of Talent Perform THIS SATURDAY April 7th! 

 

On April 7^th, for one night only, two similar art forms in dance and figure skating come together, all under 1 roof, with a dance stage-on-ice at the Mentor Ice Arena. Aspen Dental Presents Skate Dance Dream^TM: Mentor, Ohio, by Parker Pennington Productions, will spotlight the next generation of talent - top local and regional dancers and skaters, who will have the opportunity-of-a-lifetime, performing in this show with the professionals they look up to!

 

Skate Dance Dream^TM will be headlined by Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance” Season 10 Winner, Amy Yakima, and Olympian, World & U.S. National Figure Skating Champion, Kimmie Meissner. SYTYCD finalists joining Yakima on the star team include Sara VonGillern, Gev Manoukian, and Amelia Lowe. The star skating cast will be rounded out with 2017 U.S. National Pairs Bronze Medalist, Ashley Cain and Timothy LeDuc, and 5-time U.S. National Competitor and Cleveland’s own, Katie McBeath.

 

The Star Cast will perform multiple routines throughout the evening, showcasing their amazing talent’s that have won over the hearts of America! Our dancing professionals have been featured on Ellen DenGeneres and Glee; performed as background dancers for Justin Bieber, Usher, Pink, Avril Lavigne, One Direction, MC Hammer; and in music videos with Carrie Underwood; while our skating stars have achieved fame through landing a triple axel, appearing at the ESPY’s and more.

 

 The production will include special local performances by: The Mentor Figure Skating Club, Mentor Ice Diamonds Synchronized Skating Teams, The Dance Stop, Torrie’s Academy of Dance and Robert’s Conservatory of Dance. Plus not to be missed, emerging star performances such as National Solo Dance Champion, Eva Pate from Strongsville; Alicia Kunkler from Wooster, who dreams of dancing on broadway; and 8 year old skating sensation Skyler Cobb to name a few, will have their chance in the spotlight performing in the show!
