Audition Notice for PETER PAN: A RADIO PLAY and DRACULA at Gates Mills Players

AUDITIONS will be held in the basement at 1460 Chagrin River Road in Gates Mills at 6PM on April 22nd & 23rd. If necessary, callbacks will be held on April 26th at 5PM. No appointments are required for auditions. Please arrive a few minutes early on your audition day prepared to read selections from the script. 

Individuals may audition for either one or both productions. Bring a list of conflicts between June 15th and July 19th for Peter Pan and/or conflicts between September 8th and November 7th for Dracula as well as a headshot and resume, if you have one.

PETER PAN: Based on the acclaimed classic novel Peter Pan, written by J. M. Barrie, this production will be performed in July at Gates Mills Players in the style of a 1940s radio play. Actors will be seated on stage and sound effects will be produced live during the show using props! The show will also feature “advertisements” for 1940s products and services, read by the actors.

DRACULA: Based on the gothic horror novel of the same name and adapted by local playwright Joe Pine, Dracula will be a fully staged production (including a special Halloween performance!), come and be a part of this chilling story–if you dare!

PERFORMANCES:

• Peter Pan: July 17th and 18th at 7PM, July 19th at 2PM

• Dracula: October 30th, 31st, November 6th, and 7th at 7PM, November 1st at 2PM

REHEARSALS:

• Peter Pan: Beginning approximately June 22nd, typically 3 rehearsals/week

• Dracula: Beginning approximately September 8th, typically 4-5 rehearsals/week

    Peter Pan - The boy who never grew up. Child-20s, ANY GENDER.

    Wendy Darling - Imaginative, mature, young woman. Child-20s, FEMALE.

    John Darling - Wendy’s brother, 10 years old. Child-20s, MALE.
