The Saint Ignatius Harlequins are seeking a master carpenter to mentor the student build crew and student master builder. An ideal candidate would have experience in carpentry and theatre tech as well as a passion for teaching and working with students. This mentoring position focuses on teaching students shop safety, creative problem solving skills, technical skills,and completing all shop build and painting projects in anticipation of Tech Sunday. The mentor would work specifically with the student master builder, in conjunction with the student scenic designer and mentor, to organize a build plan and execution. The SIHS mentor program aims to hold our students to a professional standard through working with experts in the field. The build crew meets from 3:30-6:30 in the shop Monday-Thursday; hours for the mentor would cover that time (but we are open to accomodations). Stipend provided. The Saint Ignatius Harlequins are seeking a video production mentor for their spring musical, Something Rotten! The ideal candidate would have a background in video production and live streaming. The mentor would work with the student video production manager to coordinate camera positions, design cues, and manage the student camera crew. The mentor would be expected to meet with the mentee a few times in anticipation of the production, but majority of time would be for the duration of tech week. Tech Week dates: March 19th-24th.
