Call for Art Instructors: Seeking Artists for Zoom Art Classes
TThe Shaker Arts Council (SHAC) invites local artists, artisans and
art aficionados to submit proposals to teach online art classes that
will be offered after-school and weekends during the months of September
and October. These courses will be presented via SHAC’s Zoom account as
a part of Stay-in-Place Productions. These community classes can cover
any artistic genre, for example: dance, cake decorating, jewelry making,
painting, writing, drawing, improvisation, music theory, scrapbooking,
or even juggling. Classes can be 1-day workshops or multiple days,
depending on the course content. Applications will be reviewed by the
SHAC selection committee upon receipt. The final deadline is August 28,
2020. Applicants will be notified after review by the SHAC selection
committee.
Instructors will receive 60% of the
tuition collected for the course. Typically, tuition is $10/1 or 1.5
hour class or $15/2 or 2.5 hour class.

Call for Presenters: Seeking Presentations for Zoom Webinars
The Shaker Arts Council (SHAC) invites local community members to
submit proposals for arts-related lectures/webinars that will be offered
during late September and OctThese events will be
presented via Shaker Arts Council’s Zoom account as a part of Stay-in-Place Productions.
Webinars will be free and open to the public. SHAC will not be able to
compensate presenters; however, we hope that this opportunity to share
your expertise will help give you exposure and promote your business.
Webinars
will be scheduled for one-hour slots. The format will begin with
presentations and will be followed with a questions and answer
period.
Examples of topics include:
· How to write contracts between artists and patrons
· How to sell your art on Etsy
· Managing stress with the arts
· Navigating your arts career
