Lake Erie College Announces Auditions for “Little Shop of Horrors”

The Lake Erie College Performing Arts Department is thrilled to announce Open Call Auditions for the fall production of the cult classic musical Little Shop of Horrors. Auditions will be held on Monday, September 29 and Tuesday, September 30 at 7:00 p.m. in the C.K. Rickel Theatre, in Royce Hall on the Lake Erie College campus.

This dark comedy musical tells the story of Seymour, a meek flower shop assistant who discovers a mysterious plant with a taste for human blood. With its catchy rock and Motown-inspired score, quirky characters, and out-of-this-world storyline, Little Shop of Horrors promises to be a thrilling and hilarious production.

Audition Information:

• Dates: Monday, September 29 & Tuesday, September 30 at 7:00 p.m.
• Location: C.K. Rickel Theatre, Lake Erie College
• No appointment necessary

Those auditioning should:

• Come dressed for movement
• Be prepared to read from the script
• Bring 16–32 bars of a prepared song of their choice (an accompanist will be provided)

November 13–16, 2025
