Production Info
– Presented as part of Playwrights Local's upcoming short play festival.
– Performance Dates: May 13 & 14, 2022, at 7:30 pm.
– Rehearsals: A handful of rehearsals to be scheduled depending upon actor availability April 10-24 and May 7-12.
– Workshop-style production, off-book.
– Compensation will be a modest stipend.

Man: Male, age range 25-50, any race or ethnicity. Good comic skills and timing.
Synopsis
DIY is the latest trend in psychotherapy. Our protagonist has purchased the Porta-Shrink Do-It-Yourself Psychotherapy Kit, and every week, under the guidance of his cardboard cutout therapist, he strives to verbalize and face the fears that have plagued him for so long. Will today be his breakthrough session? Will additional sessions be necessary, or is he at the breaking point and about to abandon weeks of therapy?
Audition Process
– Please submit a video audition of a prepared monologue or a reading from the script, or both.
