Sit back and get ready for big laughs in Ken Ludwig's uproariously funny
LEND ME A TENOR
Showing May 12 to June 5, 2016
at Coach House Theatre in Akron
Thursday-Friday-Saturday nights, Sunday afternoons
Lend Me a Tenor, the hysterical modern classic from farce-master Ken Ludwig, will be on stage at Akron's Coach House Theatre, from May 12 to June 5, 2016.
A famous Italian opera star is accidentally drugged before his big performance at the Cleveland Grand Opera Company. He is secretly replaced by the company's harried young assistant — both in the opera and backstage, where frenzied action scenes unfold in a hotel suite's two adjoining rooms simultaneously.
Lend Me a Tenor is packed with comic misunderstandings, slamming doors, scantily-clad women, and lots of heart — everything you could want in a farce!
Coach House Artistic Director NANCY CATES directs this production.
The cast includes:
TOM STEPHAN as Saunders
SCOTT SHRINER as Max
ADRIENNE JONES as Maggie
TIMOTHY CHAMPION as Tito Merelli
DEDE KLEIN as Maria
KAREN WOOD as Julia
BENJAMIN FORTIN as The Bellhop
VICTORIA BENYO and KELSEY TOMLINSON (alternating the role of Diana)
Lend Me a Tenor will be presented May 12 to June 5. Curtain times are Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. with Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m.
There will be a special $12 preview performance Thursday, May 12 only, at 8 p.m. The official opening night is Friday, May 13. Group rates for holiday gatherings or office celebrations are available.
