Description
Primary duties are helping construct costumes and be on stage crew.
Examples of Duties
·
Directly responsible to the Costume Shop Manager.
·
Supervise all wardrobe elements for the theater show.
·
Coordinate with the Costume Shop Manager the procurement of appropriate measurements as needed to facilitate the costume designs and fittings.
·
Supervise and assist all costume fittings
·
Attend all tech and dress rehearsals as required.
·
Work with the Costume Designer to realize their design.
·
Supervise the proper training of any actor required to wear any costume unfamiliar to them and train any park personnel required to wear/use any costume
equipment unfamiliar to them.
·
Act as Wardrobe/Dresser during all performances.
·
Maintain and repair the costumes on a daily basis or as needed and coordinate the cleaning of said costumes throughout the run of the show. You will
determine the schedule of dry cleaning with the Costume Shop Manager.
·
Coordinate the proper repacking and returning of rented costumes and accessories as well as the subsequent return or storage needs of other costumes.
·
Maintain high levels of safety at all times.
Typical Qualifications
·
High school diploma or GED; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the
job.
·
Previous costume shop exp preferred
·
High level sewing skills required with the ability to teach others
