Dobama Theatre is announcing non-AEA auditions for the upcoming 46th Annual Marilyn Bianchi Kids’ Playwriting Festival (MBKPF) Youth Ensemble.
Dobama Theatre is looking for nine to twelve young actors between the ages of 8 and 18 of all sizes, ethnicities, and genders to rehearse and perform in plays written by young writers.* The MBKPF usually rehearses weekday evenings between 6 to 9pm and Saturdays in blocks between 10 and 4pm. Actors of all ages will ONLY be called to rehearse for the play(s) they are cast in prior to tech. Rehearsals begin on May 1st. Technical rehearsals are June 3-6th, and performances are June 7th, 8th, and 9th, 2024.
*The MBKPF consists of 10 plays written by local students ages 6 to 18. The plays are directed by professional adults and performed by a combination of adult and young actors.

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your child's scheduled audition to check in and fill out audition forms. Youth should come prepared to move, play, read from sides provided, and follow directions. You will be auditioning for Carrie Williams, Education Director, and Erin E. Dolan, Director of Programs, of Dobama Theatre and other members of the Dobama Theatre team.
