CLEVELAND BALLET PRESENTS COPPELIA MAY 13-14

Dr. Coppelius is a doctor who has made a life-size dancing doll. It is so life like that Franz, a village young man, becomes infatuated with it and pushes aside his true love, Swanhilda. She shows him his folly by dressing as the doll, pretending to make it come to life and ultimately saving him from an untimely end at the hands of the inventor.

The Cleveland Ballet world premiere is choreographed by world renowned Ramon Oller. Born in Barcelona, Oller, a dancer, choreographer and actor, is known for his prestigious career working with some of the most celebrated international dance companies, including Ballet Hispanico in New York and the Spanish National Dance Company of the National Ballet of Spain.

This one-and-a-half length production is suited for audiences of all ages.
