JUST THREE PERFORMANCES LEFT- DON'T MISS THIS CLASSICAL MUSICAL

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OHIO – Hathaway Brown Theatre Institute opens its 2018 summer season of hits with the acclaimed musical The Music Man, book , music and lyrics by Meredith Willson, presented at Hathaway Brown School in Shaker Heights, Ohio, for three(3) more performances July 6th, 7th and 8th, 2018.

By turns wicked, funny, warm, romantic and touching, The Music Man is family entertainment at its best. Meredith Willson's six-time, Tony Award-winning musical comedy has been entertaining audiences since 1957 and is a family-friendly story to be shared with every generation. The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band that he vows to organize – this, despite the fact that he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain's fall

Performances are Friday and Saturday, July 6 and July 7 at 7:30 pm; and Sunday July 8 at 2:00 PM. The show is presented at the Hathaway Brown School, 19600 North Park Blvd., Shaker Heights, Ohio 44122. Tickets are $11-15 and can be purchased online at www.hb.edu/tickets, by calling 216-932-4214 x7270 or at the door (if available) the day of the performance.

Directed and choreographed by Bebe Weinberg Katz, The Music Man will also feature musical direction by John Krol, set and lighting design by T. Paul Lowry, costumes by Chialla Geib Fenske and sound design by Carlton Guc. The Music Man boasts a cast of talented HBTI students from all over North East Ohio.
