VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE
A Comedy by Christopher Durang

Master of humor Christopher Durang presents the Chekov-esque story of a three middle-aged and single siblings, two of whom live together. When the third comes to visit, they discuss their lives and loves and the fate of the family home. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Play and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Play, among other awards.

• VANYA – 50s, living in Bucks Co. PA. Resigned to his life, more or less, at least compared to Sonia
• SONIA – his adopted sister, early 50s, living with him in Bucks County. Discontent, upset, regretful
• MASHA – his sister, 50s, glamorous and successful actress who goes gallivanting around the world
• SPIKE – an aspiring actor 29 or younger, Masha's new companion. Sexy, self-absorbed, but otherwise outgoing and energetic.
• NINA – lovely, sincere would-be actress, early 20s, visiting her aunt and uncle next door. Star struck, earnest and energetic
• CASSANDRA – cleaning lady and soothsayer, any age, any race. In the original production, she was played by an African-American actress in her 20s.

Rehearsals to begin first week of December 2015. Come prepared to read from the script. Headshots and resumes welcome, but not required. All roles available. Volunteer actors only. Auditions to be held in CVLT's River Room, upstairs at 40 River Street, Chagrin Falls
