Free Akron Outdoor Movies is proud to announce a free showing of the film E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.
The movie
will be shown Friday, September 18 on the Great Meadow in Glendale Cemetery
located at 150 Glendale Ave., Akron, OH. Gates and
trolley service will open at 6:30 p.m. and the movie will start at 8:00 p.m. This is a free event
and open to the public.
There will
be an activity for children, courtesy of smART Studio, along with local food
vendors Stray Dog Cart, Ms. Julie's Kitchen, and Popsmith.
Visitors are encouraged to picnic on the Great Meadow and are
welcome to bring their own lawn chairs,
blankets and flashlights.
**It gets colder at night quickly this time of
year, so bring plenty of layers and blankets for keeping warm after dark.**
Glendale Cemetery does not allow pets, so please
leave your furry friends at home.
Parking will be available outside the main gate in
the city parking lot on Glendale Avenue and across the street from the West
entrance at January Paint & Wallpaper, 394 W. Exchange St.
Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. and trolleys provided
by the city of Akron will run on a loop between the main gate and the meadow until
the movie starts at 8:00 p.m. and then resume following the movie.
If it rains, this event will be moved to the
following day, Saturday, 9/19, at the same times.
