Nonprofits handle sensitive information every day for their donors, volunteers, and staff -- but how should they keep that information safe and stay on the right side of the law? The Reach Out panel will discuss state, federal, and international laws governing data privacy and security, including best practices for collecting and safeguarding personally identifiable information and other confidential data. Speakers will also review new regulations and case law related to data privacy and security.

The seminar will be followed by brief advice clinics, where nonprofits can sit down one-on-one with volunteer attorneys to address their legal questions. Pre-registration required.
