FILMMAKING CAMP FOR TEENS

Located in historic Playhouse Square, Odyssey Program at CSU’s School of Film & Media Arts offers 4 different residential or day camps for teens (aged 13-18) interested in filmmaking.

All Camps taught by CSU faculty with workshops by Industry Professional Guest Artists.
All students will develop a College Admissions Interview video.

Experiential Three-Week Camp, June 11-June 30, 2023

Each student produces, shoots, and edits their own individual film project.

Intensive: Acting and Directing, July 9-July 16, 2023

Student Directors edit scenes live in FMA’s TV Control Room while Student Actors perform on Professional Sound Stages.

Intensive: Screenwriting, July 16-July 23, 2023

At camp’s end, each student has a full Staged Reading of their script.

Intensive: Postproduction—Production, July 23-July 30, 2023

Students shoot—edit, then re-shoot—re-edit to understand the relation between editing and storytelling.
