convergence-continuum is Seeking 2 actors to fill out its cast for the regional premier of Oliver Parker! A Dark Comedy By Elizabeth Meriwether, directed by Tom Kondilas

AVAILABLE ROLES:

Oliver a damaged 17 year old who isn't so much dealing with his past but trying to get laid at any opportunity. Energetic, kinda goofy, the title role of this black comedy. Would certainly consider someone who could play younger than their true age.

Agnes an ambitious assistant to the senator. 20s. It's stated that she's multi-ethnic.

The production will open Fri, August 20th and run Thurs-Sat through September 11th, 2021 (11 performances). Showtime is 8 PM

The Roles of Jasper and Willa are already cast.

All roles in this production will receive a stipend.

ABOUT THE PLAY:

An unlikely and uncomfortable friendship exists between old-man alcoholic Jasper and socially awkward 17-year-old Oliver Parker. Living in squalor in a decrepit New York apartment owned by Oliver, Jasper just wants to be left alone -- but Oliver, determined to use the apartment in his quest to get laid, loses patience with his pathetic existence very quickly. Shady dealings involving a grieving politician and her ambitious assistant Agnes only increase the tension between them, and soon buried shame and secrets bubble to the surface. Sharply funny and keenly tragic, Oliver Parker! is anything but a typical coming-of-age story.
