Stow Players is looking for children and adults of all ages to fill the 23 parts (some doubling) for this year’s holiday show, “Santa’s Spectacles,” by Jeanne A. Davis and Jim Foote.

The story:  The neighborhood children have labeled Prunella Crookshank “Cranky” Crookshank – she never smiles, is always

shooing them away, and worst of all – doesn’t believe in Christmas!  When Santa’s spectacles are lost and become confused

with Prunella’s, she wears them, and all of a sudden becomes merry and lovely.  But Santa must have his specs back so he can

make his Christmas Eve visit to all the children!  Prunella returns them, only to find life becoming stale and gloomy again. Then

Jingles, a little elf, gives Prunella a smile for Christmas, and once she wears it, her own glasses stay in place and start showing

her a bright, happy world around her.

Auditions for “Santa’s Spectacles” will be on Sunday, October 25, at 3:00 at the Heritage Barn (Young Rd. entrance to Silver Springs Park), and on Monday, October 26, at 7:00 at the Stow Acme Community Room (4445 Kent Rd., Stow).

Lots of roles for children of all ages – adults, too!  A perfect way for families or several family members to enjoy their time together. Auditions are open to everyone!  The production will run the first two weekends of December, 2015.
