Cleveland Public Theatre is hiring an Education Associate to support its work serving and empowering youth, adults, and families through the arts. This role reports directly to the Director of Education. This position is a year-round, salaried staff position. The salary range is $37k to $41k based on work experience. EDUCATION ASSOCIATE

The Education Associate has the following responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day support to the Director of Education (DOE)
• Execute project-based assignments that support the wide range of activities of the DOE
• Interact with all youth, families, staff members, and community partners, with a strong sense of service
• Submit and code receipts and invoices
• Assist in managing DOE calendar
• Crafting communication re: meetings, programming, classes and performances for youth, families, staff members, and community partners
• Possibly support the implementation of curriculum for year-round CMHA CAN and/or CAN Academy programming during afterschool hours and possibly a full daytime summer schedule -OR- support the implementation of seasonal STEP (summer) and/or Y-Haven (winter) programs.
• Collaborate with CMHA staff, CMHA CAN team members, CPT Staff from applicable departments, and guest artists to successfully present the artistic presentations and fully produced productions at assigned sites.
• Attend meetings with EDU programming teams (Cleveland Act Now, STEP, Y-Haven) and Director of Education to contribute to and record discussion of outline highlights, session progress, questions, and challenges of program implementation.
• Assist with creating lesson plans, maintaining attendance records, and/or reviewing or compiling session progress notes for the program as indicated by Director of Education
• Serve as Co- Line Producer or Stage Manager for EDU performances
• Support and attend recruitment and community events as relates to EDU programming
• Completing other duties that relate to CPT education/artistic programming as determined by Director of Education.
