The Willoughby Summer Theater Festival returns for another season of unforgettable performances, bringing professional, high-quality productions to the heart of Lake County—completely free for all to enjoy! Our festival is dedicated to making live theater accessible to everyone, celebrating the works of legendary playwrights and providing a space where families and community members can experience the magic of the stage together.

Auditions for this year’s productions will be held on the campus of Andrews Osborne Academy (38588 Mentor Ave, Willoughby, OH 44094) on Friday, May 9, from 6–8 PM and Saturday, May 10, from 1–5 PM. Performances will take place between Friday, July 25th and Sunday, August 3rd. No AEA contracts are available for these productions. We welcome actors of all backgrounds to be part of this exciting season. Join us in bringing timeless stories to life. This year's season consists of 2 plays: Laughing Stock by Charles Morey and Comedy of Errors by William Shakespeare. We will also offer a musical cabaret featuring the music of Jason Robert Brown. If you are interested in auditioning for any of the plays, please prepare a comedic monologue in the style of the play. If you’re interested in auditioning for the musical showcase, please prepare a 32 bar cut from any Jason Robert Brown song. Actors will be seen in the order they arrive.
