“Collegiate Chorale and Friends” in Concert at LCCC

Lorain County Community College's Collegiate Chorale and Vocal Jazz Singers will present the concert “Collegiate Chorale and Friends” at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, March 5 in the Stocker Arts Center Cirigliano Studio Theatre. The concert will be conducted by Nancy Davis, LCCC's director of choral music performance. 

The concert will feature a cappella Renaissance madrigals, Broadway musical tunes, and many other favorites, including “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” “Memory” from CATS, and the “William Tell Overture” arranged for voices. 

The concert will also showcase LCCC music students in a variety of solos and duets. Examples include Chopin’s beautiful piano composition “Impromptu,” a Beethoven sonata, “When You Believe” from “The Prince of Egypt,” beautiful songs performed by the voice performance majors, an improvisation of “Autumn Leaves” performed on guitar and trumpet, and so much more.

LCCC Civic Concert Band Concert

The Lorain County Community College Civic Concert Band will perform “Music of the Seasons” at 3 p.m., Sunday, March 6 at the Elyria High School Performing Arts Center. Admission is free. Learn more at www.stockerartscenter.com.

Ars Futura for LCCC Signature Series
