Hollywood Producer, Director, Actor Martin Carlton is bringing his theme park experience from Universal Studios Hollywood and Knott’s “Scary” Farm to write, direct and produce Mapleside Farms first ever LIVE STAGE SHOW.

Fun and adventure with a little singing and dancing, The Princess and the Pumpkin tells the heart warming tale of Princess Melrose, who, despite having strong but hidden feelings for farm hand, Patch Greenleaf, is told by her father, King Orchard, that she must marry the scheming Sourseed in order to save the Kingdom of Mapleside. With the help of animal friends and Paisley Pumpkin, Sourseed’s true plan is revealed, justice prevails and love blossoms.

Shifts are 8 hours including lunch and breaks

All roles will double as off-stage puppeteers

Princess Melrose – The beautiful daughter of King Orchard, she lives for nature, fun and adventure and sings about the man she wants to marry.

Patch Greenleaf – Handsome, fit farm hand, falls in love with the Princess

King Orchard – Older, just shy of senile, but full of love

Paisley Pumpkin – energetic, fun, comedic, communicates through pantomime

Saurcede – tall, dark and sinister – plans to take over the Kingdom

Puppeteer – will work several puppets –Please have a wide range of character type voices

Auditions will be held at Mapleside Farms (in the cellar) Wednesday August 24^th at 7pm.

Bring Headshot and resume and a SHORT upbeat or comedic monologue

*be prepared to improv

Princess Melrose must be able to sing a cappella

Roaming characters: 9 days over 4 weekends - Some work every weekend, some won’t

September 10, 11, 24, 25, October 14, 15, 16, 24, 25 - shifts are 8 hours including lunch and breaks - All positions are PAID for performance days.

We need beautiful, attractive, adorable princesses and handsome, fit men for our Princess & Pirates weekend and others. (Paul Bunyan should be over 6’4” with a muscular build).

Our intent is to cast YOU as multiple characters for multiple weekends. Please be versatile. You should know if you fit the character(s). Costumes will be provided (unless you have one)

Women: Princess Tiana, Belle, Snow White, Cinderella, Elsa, Anna, Annie Oakley, Pocahontas, Amelia Earhart, Storm, Wonder Woman, Super Girl, Belle Starr
