A Fathers Love Casting Notice

“A Fathers Love” is an ultra-low budget SAG-AFTRA New Media project slated to be filmed in Cleveland, Ohio this summer the week of July 5^th 2015.

Summary: About 76% of the time a child is kidnapped by a stranger they are dead within the first three hours. For Detective Hunchinson, more commonly known as Hunch, that clock starts now. This story takes us on a thrilling ride with Detective Hunch and his family as we see what lengths A Fathers Love will go in order to bring his daughter back home.

A Fathers Love Character Description

Hannah (Female, 25-30, must have lighter skin because of other casting choices): A strong woman with polish, and a past, and she carries it all on her shoulders and behind a smile.

Lerch (Male, 40-60): A disabled retired cop who has been through so much he can’t help but laugh at it all. Was the partner of Hunch’s father. Has a dry sense of humor. Hurt in incident on the job that killed Hunch’s father.

Gino (Male, 20-35): A very intelligent guy on the wrong side of law, but not necessarily justice. Must have a very strong presence and intensity in his eyes. Experience with fight choreography is a plus. Not your average criminal.

Havoc (Male, 30-45): Must be a mammoth of a man. Very large. Commits crime out of necessity. Must be able to showcase a soft side. Fight choreography experience is a plus.

Chaos (Male or Female, 20-35): A follower in the group. Doesn’t really make own decisions. Tries best to not cause any waves. Fight choreography experience a plus

Mayhem (Female or Male, 20-30): A very nasty person. Fight choreography experience a plus. Must give the audience a person to hate.

Damage (Female or Male, 20-35): A character in the middle of the road and go either way, but is easily persuaded by Mayhem. Fight choreography experience a plus.

Ross (Male, 40-60): Police Chief being damaged down by the job and tries his best to make everyone happy, only problem is everyone’s happiness often conflicts. Must be a very lovable guy with charm and compassionate in his eyes. Father figure to Hunch who promised to take care of him when his father was killed in an incident on the job.

Rogers (Female, 23-30): Rookie detective with an amazing intuition. She just gets it, and gets it fast. Eager to prove she belongs in this world and is ready for the challenge. Has a great sense of urgency.

If you do not have a headshot or resume please include a snapshot of yourself alone and include past experience in the body of the email. The auditions will be June 8^th. If you are selected you will be sent the address, sides, and an audition time in a response email. Please respond to all emails to ensure that you have received it. If you cannot make it to the audition on the 8^th or require a certain time frame let us know in a confirmation email. You will be contacted if you are chosen or not so you are aware of where we are in the process. Not receiving an audition slot does not mean you will not be chosen to be a part of the film, we will keep your information throughout the filming process. All roles posted are open to union and non-union actors.
