THE STORY: In this brilliant and powerful drama, Sister Aloysius, a Bronx school principal, takes matters into her own hands when she suspects the young Father Flynn of improper relations with one of the male students.

THE CHARACTERS:

Sister Aloysius Beauvier: The head nun and principal of St Nicholas School. Driven by a high sense of duty but rigid and conservative. 45+ years old.

Father Brendan Flynn: A middle aged priest. Articulate and personable. 35-50 years old.

Sister James: A young impressionable nun. Enthusiastic but inexperienced teacher.

Mrs. Muller: The mother of Donald Muller. African American 30-40 years old.
