The story: Set in small-town Alabama, this emotionally charged and darkly funny two-hander delivers Southern charm with Shakespearean tension. – a slow-sparking collision between two smart, guarded schoolteachers on neighboring porches. Lizzy Nash, recently widowed and sharp as a tack, meets her quiet match in Jack Key, a steady, soft-spoken newcomer with secrets of his own.

Characters:
ELIZABETH “LIZZY” NASH (30-45) – High school English teacher, High school English teacher, somewhat excentric but set in her ways. She knows everything that is happening and everyone BUT is not a busy body. She is very friendly but wants to understand when someone is not doing what she would expect them to do. She is a master of orderly chaos. Confident, Southern, and somewhat neurotic.

JACK KEY (30-45) – High School Physics teacher. Very even keeled, and orderly. However, has his own quirks that may be actual quirks or may just be his way of needling the woman. New to the area and not quite ready for someone to know all about him. Does not like to be forced into a decision. Takes his time.
