BEREA, OH – The Department of Theatre and Dance at Baldwin Wallace University presents The Crucible by Arthur Miller, directed by René Copeland.
An allegory for McCarthyism’s reign of terror against 1950s Hollywood, Miller has written that this play “starts getting produced wherever a political coup appears imminent, or a dictatorial regime has just been overthrown.” The play grapples with questions prompted when flawed people are faced with a choice between honor and death. What would you say to save your life? Who would you sacrifice?
Effective Saturday, March 5, BW will move to mask optional. Masks will no longer be required in public or indoor spaces like classrooms, common areas, or at BW events. While masks will no longer be required indoors, all community members are welcome to continue wearing masks.
