Written by Tony Award-winning playwright and director, George C. Wolfe, The Colored Museum is comprised of 11 scenes or "exhibits," through which the audience is taken on a journey of oppression and racism in a comedic yet thought-provokingly impactful fashion. The play explores and satirizes prominent themes and identities of African-American culture, re-defining our ideas of what it means to be black in contemporary America. This production is directed by Tony Sias, with musical direction by Reginald Bowens, and choreography by Kevin Marr II.
