YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN

WHERE: Strongsville Senior Center, 18100 Royalton Rd. (behind the
Target store and
connected to - and to the left end of - the Ehrnfelt Recreation
Center building).
WHO: For the 6 named characters, actors from 13 to 32.
For the teacher, any gender/age.
For ensemble (2-4 people, inc. Woodstock, age <33.
WHEN: Dec. 4 & 5, from 7-9PM. No appt. necessary, call-backs
by invitation as needed on Dec. 6 at 7PM. No dance at auditions but
come dressed to move at callbacks. Rehearsals begin on a light
schedule in late February/early March (based on actor and director
conflicts), for initial music and character building. Choreography
and blocking follow in mid-March thru April.
Show dates are April 21, 22, 23 & 28, 29, 30.
WHAT TO PREPARE: One 20-32 measure cut in the sytle of the show.
One joke or short comedic momologue. Actors auditioning for only
the role of teacher do not need to sing.
SYNOPSIS: The whole gang is here: Bossy Lucy is hopelessly in
love with piano prodigy Schroeder who doesn't give her the time of
day; perfoectionist Sally is till mocking blanket-toting Linus;
Snoopy is in the doghouse; and "blockhead" himself, Charlie Brown,
is in rare form. Brief vignettes, spanning the months from
Valentine's Day to Beethoven's birthday, range from wild optimism to
utter despair! Whether you're keen to fly with the Red Baron, moon
over the Moonlight Sonata, or just do your best to find "happiness", You're
a Good Man, Charlie Brown is a crowd-pleasing classic.
