The 2nd Annual Cleveland Playwrights Festival is a free, weekend-long celebration of the art of dramatic writing and its practitioners in Northeast Ohio. Presented by Playwrights Local, the fest features open writing workshops, staged readings of new plays, and a live performance of a podcast play.
Although spotlighting area dramatists, the fest also caters to the audience through post-show talkbacks and receptions with the artists.
The 2nd Annual Cleveland Playwrights Festival runs November 4 through 6 at Waterloo Arts in North Collinwood. All sessions are free, with a suggested donation of $10. Reservations are not required for most events, but are suggested for the Saturday afternoon workshops.
