Fall session

Sept. 8 – Dec. 15, 2018

Ages 6-18

 

Dance Academy students train in the fundamentals of ballet and explore creativity through modern dance. This course emphasizes contemporary techniques to develop coordination, musicality, strength, flexibility and alignment. Students learn basic ballet and modern dance techniques, floor work, center work and movement across the floor. Instruction in creative improvisation, performance development, choreography and composition skills will culminate with a final performance.

 

Director and choreographer of the ensemble is renowned artist Terence Greene. His love for choreography and teaching young people is evident in the extensive list of schools, professionals and dance companies with which he has worked both nationally and internationally.
