Cory Markowitz Chosen as Managing Director for Chagrin Valley Little Theatre

CHAGRIN FALLS, OH - Chagrin Valley Little Theatre is excited to announce that Cory Markowitz has been named as the new Managing Director. In this newly created full-time position, Ms. Markowitz will serve as a senior member of the organization, weighing in on both creative and business decisions with our Board of Directors.

Cory brings both experience in theater and business savvy to this historic organization. For 25 years, she has worked as an Equity and non-Equity performer, director, producer, instructor, and writer throughout Northeast Ohio, and Atlanta, Georgia. Cory studied Theater and Creative Writing at Baldwin-Wallace University and went on to specialize in both Contemporary Theatre Production and Children’s Theatre at the University of Hull in Scarborough, England. After returning to Northeast Ohio, Cory held management positions at several arts organizations, including the Museum of Contemporary Art and Near West Theatre. She has also served as the Creative Director of Kringle’s Inventionasium Experience in downtown Cleveland, an interactive theatrical attraction she co-founded in 2007.

Please join CVLT in welcoming Cory to the community at a Meet the Managing Director cocktail hour on Friday, August 5th, at 6:30pm before our presentation of Disney’s Newsies, now playing on our Main Stage at 40 River Street, Chagrin Falls, OH.

Chagrin Valley Little Theatre is a not-for-profit community theatre providing plays, musicals, youth theatre education and special events to Northeast Ohio since 1930. Located just a half hour’s drive east of downtown Cleveland, Chagrin Valley Little Theatre is one of the nation’s oldest community theatres, offering year-round entertainment at affordable prices. CVLT is supported by the Ohio Arts Council and by the citizens of Cuyahoga County through Cuyahoga Arts and Culture.
