Western Reserve Chorale’s 33rd annual Holiday Concert features Vivaldi’s Magnificat, a wonder of choral and orchestral power which brims with light and drama. The Chorale will also present works by Stanley Hoffman celebrating the miracle of the Hanukkah lights. You will hear newer takes on old standards, including an exploration of musical genres in Bob Chilcotte’s Twelve Days of Christmas and harmonic and rhythmic interpretations in Variations on Jingle Bells by Mark Hayes and Jackson Berkey’s Joy to the World.
At a time when so many people in the world are experiencing hardship, displacement, and war; come hear the powerful message in Karen Marolli’s Hope Waits: “Hope calls us through the silence. Hope clings like morning dew. Hope stands amidst the violence. Hope waits for you.”
And we will be waiting for you to come and experience the vocal celebration of hope and joy by the 100+ voices of the chorale.
