Comedy is par for the course
as CVLT presents THE LADIES FOURSOME
CHAGRIN
FALLS, Ohio - Chagrin Valley Little Theatre is teeing off
your spring with The Ladies Foursome, a
heartwarming comedy from playwright Norm Foster.
Performances on CVLT’s Main Stage are Friday and Saturday
nights at 8 PM from May 31 - June 16, and on Sundays June
9 and 16 at 2 PM.
Foster,
who is possibly the most popular playwright to ever come
out of Canada, is known for plays that tickle the funny
bone while tugging at the heartstrings. The Ladies
Foursome is one such play, and director Katharine
Tonti brings this evening of conversations and revelations
to the stage with a troupe of four experienced comedic
actresses.
Margot
(Jenny Barrett), Tate (Macey Staninger), and Connie
(Brenda Redmond) have gathered to play 18 holes in honor
of their usual fourth player, Catherine, whose funeral has
taken place the day before. Joining them for this game is
Dory (Barbara Howitt), an old friend of Catherine’s
they’ve never met. The new fourth player leads makes them
take a closer look at themselves and each other. As they
play, the women discuss love, sex, and children, revealing
secrets and making confessions along the way.
Tickets
to The Ladies Foursome are $19, with a $4
discount for seniors and students. Special rates for
groups of ten or more. Tickets can be purchased at
