Description
Primarily responsible for the construction and maintenance of sets for theatrical performances.
Examples of Duties
·
Directly responsible to the Technical Director, who is responsible to the Theater Production Manager.
·
Work all theatrical scenic load-ins and strikes.
·
Help in the construction, installation, and any operational adjustments of all scenery and props for Cain Park theaters.
·
Assist with the inventory, maintenance, and repair all Park power and hand tools.
·
Evaluate working drawings as necessary for construction procedures.
·
Attend all technical and dress rehearsals as required by the Technical Director and/or Production Manager.
·
Work with the Scenic Designer towards the realization of the designs.
·
Act as run crew for the production.
·
Maintain high safety levels at all times.
Typical Qualifications
·
High school diploma or GED High school diploma or equivalent
·
Basic carpentry skills required
·
Previous scene shop experience preferred
