WELLINGTON, OH - February 1, 2024 - 
Les Misérables: School Edition, the iconic musical based on Victor Hugo's famous novel, is set to captivate audiences at the Patricia Lindley Center for Performing Arts in Wellington. This production is presented by The MAD* Factory, a theatre non-profit aimed to empower and inspire people through music, art and drama. 


Featuring two exceptional casts, the Red Cast and the Black Cast, audiences will have the opportunity to experience the depth and talent of a diverse group of young performers. Both casts showcase performers from 15 different school districts across Cuyahoga, Erie, Lorain, and orange counties. 


Those interested in seeing the show have multiple opportunities to do so, with performances scheduled for the Red Cast on February 2, 3, and 4 and the Black Cast on February 9, 10, and 11.


Directed by a dedicated production team led by Amber Michalak, the show follows the life of Jean Valjean, a former convict trying to redeem himself in 19th-century France. Valjean has spent many years in prison for a crime he did not commit. When he finally gets released, he is relentlessly chased by Inspector Javert, who is convinced that Valjean can never escape his dark past.
