CASTING NOTICE - TABLE READ AND STAGED READING

Playwrights Local seeks a variety of actors for an upcoming table read and staged reading of ‘The Demon on the Mountaintop’, a new full length play by Robert M.K. Daniels.

Actors would need to be available for a private table read on Tuesday February 12^th, at 7pm at Waterloo Arts. Availability for a public staged reading in late March/early April is preferable but not essential.

About the play: 

‘The Demon on the Mountaintop’ is a brand new full-length fantastical comedy set in a world of magic, whimsy, an intrepid heroine, and a tired old demon who quite enjoys cursing things.

Available Roles:

Rook: Any gender. 30-50. A bird, trickster, and narrator.

Demon: Male. 40+. A literal demon, commanding, and tired.

Lydia: Female. 20-40. A pragmatic, analytical, dreamer.

Billy Ray: Male. 20-40. A naive, privileged, “hero”.

Additional Characters: 3 actors of any gender or age to play a variety of roles throughout the play.
