Acting for the Camera Day Camp
Acting in front of the camera requires a different approach and technique from theater. This acting for the camera camp is intended for any students interested in acting for movies, television, or commercials. Campers will have the experience of working in single camera acting techniques and understanding what the relationship is of the camera to the performance. Campers will be trained in many of the technical requirements that an actor must know to work successfully in the profession. Workshops in cold reading, audition techniques, and focus concentration are part of the campers week long experience. Focused on performance, each camper will get in front of the camera and have a finished scene by the end of the week. Guest speakers may drop in to share their knowledge of the film and television industry in Northeast Ohio.
