Convergence-continuum has an IMMEDIATE OPENING for a Male Actor of Color playing 25-40 for the role of Chilli/Jabber in IN THE BLOOD by Suzan Lori Parks. Rehearsals begin immediately, and production dates are May 18th- June 9th. The Role is paid a stipend.

In the Blood is a modern riff on The Scarlet Letter. Hester La Negrita, a homeless mother of five, lives with her kids on the tough streets of the inner city. Her kids are played by adult actors who also double as five other people in her life: ex-boyfriend, social worker, doctor, best friend and minister. While Hester's kids fill her life with joy (comical moments amid the harsh world of poverty) the adults only hold her back.

In the Blood, directed by Cory Molner, will have its performances opening Fri, May 18 and run Thu-Sat through June 9. Rehearsals will begin ASAP.
