Synopsis:
“Atlantic”, based upon Brazilian writer Victor Rosa's screenplay “O Atlântico” is a film about a young boy's infatuation and longing for the sea. Inspired by the Portuguese poet Sophia Breyer and by Latin American magical realism, it is a short film about a child's imagination and his grasp of his own place in the world.

Character BIOS

[BOY] [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: 7-10]

The boy lives with his parents in a run-of-the-mill apartment complex in a land-locked city. The film will depict his escape to the sea and will culminate with his arrival at a beach, where he finally meets the sea in all of its salty glory.

[MOTHER] [GENDER: FEMALE] [AGE: 25-35]

The boy's mother, a sweet if somewhat inattentive parent.
