East Cleveland Theater is hosting auditions for Race, by David Mamet.
Synopsis:
Published in 2008, and opening on Broadway in 2009, Race is a no-holds-barred into the legal system, long before a case is heard in the courtroom. Lawyers must decide whether to take a case, and then IF they take a case, what strategies need to be used to win a case. At stake is of course TRUTH ... or is it.
The Roles:
Jack Lawson: White male, late 20s to 50s, Lawyer
Charles Strickland: White male, late 20s to 50s, Corporate executive.
Henry Brown: African American male, late 20s to 50s, Lawyer
Audition Dates:
Wednesday, December 13, after 6pm.
Thursday, December 14, after 6pm.
Saturday, December 16, after 12pm.

asked to read from the script. Prepared monologues are not required, but would
be gladly heard.

Friday and Saturday shows start at 8pm
Sunday shows start at 3pm
EXCEPTION: There be no show on Sunday, February 04, 2017 … Super Bowl Sunday.
Rehearsals:
This will be a split rehearsal schedule, meaning that we will have 2 days of rehearsals in December, 2017 (before Christmas), and then pick up with rehearsals starting the week of January 07, 2018. Exact dates for both the December and January time frames have not been determined. We typically have rehearsals Sundays thru Thursdays (5 days / week), but again that is not yet set in stone. If you are concerned about dates and timeframes, please show up at auditions and tell us your limitations.
