University School (an all-boys school in Hunting Valley) is holding auditions for high school girls (grades 9-12) for our Winter Play: OEDIPUS by Sophocles, adapted by Ellen McLaughlin.
 
Auditions
Monday, November 17th and Tuesday, November 18th from 4:00-5:30

Available Characters
Jocasta - Oedipus’s wife and mother, Creon’s sister. Solves the mystery of Oedipus’s identity before Oedipus does. Despairingly desires to protect her loved one from this knowledge.
Chorus Leader(s) – lead the chorus and speak at times on behalf of all.
Chorus – Citizens of Thebes, onlookers to the events as they unfold. A group of individuals that make up one singular unit. Perceptive, desperate, demanding, they hold their leaders and witnesses accountable.

Rehearsals
Monday, December 1st – Friday, January 23rd: 4:00-6:00
Monday, January 26th – Thursday, January 29th: 4:00-7:00
- Not every character will be called to every rehearsal.
- Rehearsals will be 1-3 times per week depending on role
 
Tech Week
Monday, February 2nd – Wednesday, February 4th: 5:30-9:30 

Performances
Thursday, February 5th - Saturday, February 7th: 7:00 (6:00 call)
