Chagrin Valley Little Theatre suspends performances through the end of April for COVID-19

PIPPIN is rescheduled for May 29-June 20

CHAGRIN FALLS, OH - In this uncertain time of the COVID-19 outbreak, Chagrin Valley Little Theatre is following state health recommendations and has suspended scheduled performances through the end of April and beyond. The musical PIPPIN, which was set to run March 20 – April 11, has been rescheduled for 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays May 29 - June 20 and 2 p.m. Sunday June 7 and 14. Ticket holders' seats were automatically moved to a corresponding weekend in the new performance run. Patrons with questions can contact the Box Office 1-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday at 440-247-8955 and staff members will do their best to accommodate everyone’s changing schedule.

CVLT is working to reschedule the production of the comedy WOMEN IN JEOPARDY! and the musical NEWSIES. Patrons need not call on those. Details will be announced when they are confirmed and when the order to isolate and social distance to avoid a rapid spread of the virus is lifted. In the meantime, the staff is taking appropriate steps to clean and sanitize the Main Stage building, offices, and the River Street Playhouse.

“We deeply care about our patrons, staff, volunteers, performers and crew, and regret that we have to suspend performances,” said Julia Wolff, CVLT President. “Theater people are a hearty lot who are passionate about our craft. Normally, we would say ‘The show must go on,’ but during this time of a serious pandemic, we recognize that we must do our part to ensure the health and safety of our community. Let us all take care of each other during this difficult time.”

Chagrin Valley Little Theatre is located at 40 River St. and the River Street Playhouse is located at 56 River St., both in Chagrin Falls. Now in its 90th season, CVLT is one of Ohio’s oldest continuously operating community theatre organizations. CVLT is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that is funded through individual and corporate contributions along with a grant from the Ohio Arts Council and by the citizens of Cuyahoga Country through Cuyahoga County Arts and Culture.
