About Sue Johnson and the Wake Up And Live’s Actors’ Studio
Since 2009, Sue
has been Director, Producer and Host of “Wake Up And Live With
the Arts” YouTube show. The featured guests’ appearances
are broadcast to a large audience, which brings them to the attention of those
who make casting & hiring decisions. Guests can send their
appearances to social media lists, thereby expanding exposure to the arts and viewing
community, advancing an appreciation for the arts and guests as talent,
locally, regionally & nationally.
She has directed “My
Big Fat Dysfunctional Office,” a commissioned play,
numerous "PlayActs" Performances, staged readins, Jim
Spriggs' “Terror on Biddle Street “ and Faye
Sholiton’s “All Things Being Equal “ for Karamu's Arenafest. TV
credits include A & E's “100 Centre Street,” and
films, “Antwone Fisher” directed by Denzel Washington, “The
Year That Trembled,” Jay Craven, Director, and “In Search of A Queen.” Sue’s
professional acting credits include appearances in Cleveland area theatres,
including co-starring with Leon Bibb in A.R. Gurney’s Love Letters,
performed at the Brooks Theatre, Cleveland Play House and, later, at the Kent
State Writers’ Conference. More recently, she directed Vickie Williams’
“Commemorative,” a 2-act play, and Richard Asbury’s “Emperor of Lincoln
Street,” a staged reading.
Sue Johnson, SAG/AFTRA, is an actor, director,
producer and coach. Sue produces, directs and co-hosts “Wake Up And Live With
the Arts."” which celebrates and showcases the diversity of
performing and cultural artists. Johnson’s “Tricks of the Trade:
Craft, Career & Professional Development” and private coaching are
well-known throughout the performing arts and business community. Wake Up And
Live’s Actors’ Studio is a non-profit 501©3 organization dedicated to entertainment,
education and the performing arts.
